Keep the technical detail; cut the technical fog. Both notes land on the same sentences: those naming a technique with no work of yours attached. The obvious fix, saying it more generally, is what reads as machine-written.
Why one paragraph draws both notes
Your first reader may not be in your sub-field. MIT's AeroAstro Communication Lab states the mechanism: "Remember your audience. At least at MIT, the review process starts with non-expert readers who do a first pass to assess whether your application meets the minimum requirements." Computing departments name their own readers in their own words, and who reads a CS statement is printed on many of their admissions pages.
So a friend outside your area tells you they cannot follow your third paragraph, and you do the reasonable thing: you raise the altitude. "I replaced the parser" becomes "I leveraged modern techniques to improve data quality." The sentence is now readable by anyone — and ownable by no one. That is the register a scanner reacts to, and it is the register a tired admissions reader skims past.

Sort your technical sentences into three piles
Go through the technical parts of your draft one sentence at a time.
Pile 1 — a term, a decision of yours, a result. Keep it. Neither complaint survives contact with this pile: a non-specialist can follow the decision without knowing the term, and there is nothing generic left to flag.
Pile 2 — a term with no work of yours attached. "Experience with distributed systems, containerisation and CI/CD." Attach the work or delete the term; a capability list is what your CV is for.
Pile 3 — the paraphrase you wrote so a non-specialist could follow. This is the pile both notes are actually about. The fix is not to shorten it. Rewrite it as pile 1: more specific, not less.

Pile 1, the same work anchored: Our nightly pipeline missed its window whenever a partner sent malformed rows, so I replaced the regex parser with a streaming schema check that quarantines bad records instead of failing the whole batch. The window has not been missed since. The quarantine queue is now the thing nobody wants to own.
Someone outside computing can follow the second one — something broke, here is what was changed, here is the new problem — without knowing what a schema check is. And no other applicant could have written it, which is the property both complaints were really asking for.
Check your draft against a CS rubric
Detector output reports that a passage resembles machine-generated text. That is all it reports: not who wrote something, not intent. Fluent, formal, technical prose is the register most often misread, so a flag on your own writing is a prompt to put the detail back, never proof of anything.
