What We Check

Name the Creative Side or Skill

Evaluate whether the response names the capacity it is about in terms that fit the governing prompt.

Evaluate the response's growth path.

Why It Matters to You

Evaluate the response's main meaning claim, meaning its most specific statement about why the capacity matters, affects the student's choices, or creates an opportunity in the student's life.

Mistakes We Flag

Naming creativity without showing your version of it: Saying you are creative or have many talents is not enough if the reader cannot tell what you actually do. Name the specific practice, talent, or skill in your own words.
Using awards or praise as the main evidence: An award, grade, title, or compliment does not show how you use your ability. Show a choice, step, attempt, or result that reveals your role.
Describing the group but not your contribution: If you write about a team project, the reader still needs to understand what you did. Identify your own decisions, work, or observations.
Calling repetition growth without showing a change: Hours, years, or practice alone do not explain development. Show an earlier approach, an adjustment you made, and what changed afterward.
Ending with a generic lesson or future plan: A statement about never giving up, being yourself, or a future career can feel disconnected if it does not explain why this ability matters to you now. Connect the meaning to a choice, relationship, habit, or use already shown in the response.
